The Salvation Army normally serves three meals a day, but this time they did something a little special. Instead of guests walking through the line to get their food, volunteers waited on them and brought their meal to their table.
We’re smiling at folks, greeting them as they’re here, trying to make them feel special to give them a little bit of joy – a little bit of hope in the midst of their day, said Major Andrew Kelly, the Salvation Army Austin area commander.
